 | Pack Category selector | If enabled, the pack category selector filters the displayed list with the gear in that category. (If not enabled, then this is not shown) |
| Add an item | TAP on the + button, to create a new gear item. This will take you to the gear item editor. | |
| Select an item | Clicking / TAP on an item, will load the gear item editor with details of the selected item | |
| Delete an item | SWIPE LEFT (<<), will prompt to delete the item NOTE: You cannot delete an item that is included in a pack. You must remove it from each of the packs, before the swipe left function is available. You can see which pack in which it is included from the gear item editor view. | |
| Duplicate an item | LONG PRESS on an item, will prompt to duplicate the item | |
| Search for items | TAP on the magnifying glass on the top right, will prompt on to search the gear locker, within all categories. The search remains active, across all tabs until cancelled by TAP on the CROSS on the top right | |
| Gear lifecycle | Three tabs are visible at the top of the display, to filter the list of gear items by the lifecycle status (see below). |
Functionality can be enabled in the Profile > Appearance & Functionality menu. By default, it is all switched off to keep things simple.
Gear Lifecycle
A gear item moves between the three lifecycle status: Wish list > Purchase > Active > Use/Destroy > Archived.
 | WISH LIST | These are the items you would like to buy. They can be added to packs to see the effect of the weight in a pack. If you use the Extended Attributes and record the price/currency, then that is shown in the list. |
| ACTIVE | These are the items that you own and are currently used. | |
| ARCHIVED | These are items, that are no longer used, have deceased or been thrown away, however you keep a record of them as they may (likely) be in an archived pack, you use for reference. Remember you cannot delete items if they are included in a pack, so archiving them hides them from the main view and gear selector. |
Searching for gear
If you own a lot of gear, then may need to search for a specific item. TAP on the magnifying glass on the top right of the gear locker will prompt for the text to search the gear locker – within all categories.
The search remains active, across all tabs until cancelled by TAP on the CROSS on the top right of the gear locker.
